15 September – Jurien to Perth

We set off towards Perth this morning, away from the little beachside villages that seem to be the retirement zones for Perth. At a roadside stop morning coffee we talked to another couple who recommended a minor detour to Gingin.

Gingin is a pretty little village with historic cemetary, a boardwalk and the only perennial stream between Perth and the Kimberley. After lunch at Gingin we managed to get to our accommodation in Perth where we will spend a few days.

Tonight we are having dinner with Maree’s cousin, Mary Jean.
